How Deep Should a Fitted Sheet Be?
The best fitted sheet depth depends on the full depth of your mattress, including any permanent topper.
How to measure mattress depth
Measure vertically from the bottom edge of the mattress to the highest point on top. Do not compress the mattress while measuring.
Deep fitted sheets
A deeper fitted sheet gives extra fabric to wrap securely underneath deeper mattresses. If your mattress is close to the maximum stated depth, allowing a little extra room can make fitting easier.
